Fire recently broke out at Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) according to a text sent by the Medical Guild which reads:

NEWS ALERT: THERE'S SERIOUS FIRE OUTBREAK AT LUTH CHILDREN EMERGENCY & APIN CLINIC. PLS BE AT ALERT AS DRS/HOSPITALS IN DAT AREA MAY BE MOBILISED TO HELP VICTIMS

 please anybody with contact to the fire brigade should contact them ASAP!. The cause of the fire has not been discovered yet...

Robin Van Persie who is 29 years old is a very injury prone player with last season being one of his best ever for Arsenal football club. This is a very big gamble by Manchester United and we shall see how it all plays out as the season is about to begin.

I was hanging out with a co-blogger (first time I'm meeting him) at the address mentioned above when a car suddenly screeched and halted on the road. [ Read Full Gist Here]
I quickly prompted my friend that I had to take few images of the scene and drop it here before we took our personal pics.
He shrugged and told me to go on... I moved closer to the edge of the road, took few images and then a warm hand from the left came outta nowhere to grab my phone which I was using to take photographs.
Behold! It was a policeman. He asked me what I was doing with the camera app which was running and I told him exactly what it meant for.
He then took a closer look, turned the phone around, shook his head and said Okay.
I knew his motive was to arrest me; He stood with me at that spot when fear gripped me and I had to step back to meet my friend. Immediately, he left to meet his colleagues also.

This is why those comedians say, our news and media system is slow at delivering information atimes. This is because Journalists are not safe anymore even in the hands of policemen. What's so bad in taking images of that kinda scene even if I'm not putting the story on a blog?
Anyone who experiences this would be discouraged and wouldn't want to capture interesting scenes anymore for one reason or the other all tending to the fact that "You're not safe with that camera"

Snake found in a moving car in Ibadan

Okay I was out today when a car loaded with passengers suddenly stopped on the highway linking challenge to molete axis in Ibadan.
The sudden occurrence attracted people's attention which was followed by indistinct voices from the car and then a woman sitting at the front seat opened pushed the door open without watching out for an incoming car.
After getting out of the car, she tried opening the back door which had other passengers (probably her kids with relatives) but the door refused to let her in because it didn't open. The policemen around then moved to the scene and assisted the woman. With much pressure, the door was forced open just about time the driver wanted to give a helping hand.
Though the screaming didn't stop but as the door was opened and the kids ran out first, We got to know the cause of the whole matter.
It resulted that a snake showed up at the back seat attempting to curl around a child's foot but was foiled by all possible means before the driver had to halt in the middle of the road to let the passengers out.
A brave man indeed! After all passengers were out, the driver grabbed a tool which is meant for car repairs and then hit it on the snake severally.
He now brought out the snake and dumped it on the road. [PoliceMen Restricted me from taking a picture of the snake; Sorry about that]

For feared that there might still be another snake in the car, the passengers reluctantly got back into the car to continue their journey.

PHOTOS from Sokoto Suicide Bombing

Sokoto State was attacked yesterday by suicide bombers at two different locations.
The first bomber drove in a Volkswagen ⢕ car endowed with bombs to the gate of Central Police Station (Sokoto) and then forced the gate open to let the car in. He then drove straight into the main building where the assistant inspector general of police takes his seat and then explodes the bombs.
The attacked reportedly killed a police officer and leaving several others injured.

Another bomber also attacked Unguwa Rogo Police Station with bomb explosions injuring several people.

Nigerian film goddess Ini Edo has launched a shoe line tagged Ini Edo Collection. According to the Nollywood queen’s official website, the shoes will be showcased at the Dallas International Fashion show which will take place on Friday 31st August 2012.
Other products available on the label include genuine handbags; clothing and other fashion accessories plus a boutique which features several carefully selected fashion accessories from other designers.
The wares are described as a must have for the trend lover who wants to turn heads in traffic.
Ini, who is said to be expecting her first child, got married to her businessman husband Phillip Ehiagwina in 2009 in Houston, Texas although rumours have it that the two are now separated.
