18 Dead, Oil Tank Burnt By Militias

Libya Dawn state armies killed no less than 18 warriors and harmed an oil tank amid an assault against an armed force regiment in the northern city of Sirte on Thursday, authorities said.

An armed force source said that contenders of Libya Dawn and Ansar al-Sharia gatherings propelled the amazement assault against watchmen of a force plant west of Sirte, around 500 km east of the capital Tripoli.

About 14 murdered officers had a place with the armed force's Al-Jalet 136 Infantry Battalion, a considerable lot of whose staff originated from the same tribe of the rebel significant general, Khalifa Haftar, who has headed a military operation since May to "scrub the nation of terrorism."

Witnesses said that the conflicts, even now going on, broke out around the steam force plant in Al-Gbeba territory, around 30 km west of Sirte, between the legion, which was supported by outfitted Furjan tribesmen against Libya Dawn, and Ansar al-Sharia warriors.



A week ago, Libya Dawn volunteer armies completed an operation "to free oil fields and ports" in the oil sickle, a range along Libya's northern drift between the second biggest city Benghazi and Sirte, including the ports of Sidra, Ras Lanuf and Brega, the biggest Libyan oil port. The oil bow contains nation's most oil stores.

Libya Dawn guaranteed that they are authorized by the cordial General National Congress. Its operation pioneer, Tarig Shnena, was slaughtered in an air assault by Haftar's aviation based armed forces.

Since December 13, the fights have cut Libya's oil generation from 800,000 barrels every day to around 200,000 barrels, creating a loss of billions of U.s. dollars to its general plan, as per Libyan authorities.
