Former president of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo visited Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) headquarters in Abuja to obtain his drivers license and gave a speech thereafter.
If I have to drive, I must have a valid drivers license like others. That informed my visit. We should note that the drivers license serves other purposes beyond driving of a vehicle and also useful outside the country such as certification of somebody’s identity. Anybody who wants to be law abiding must go through this process because you cannot be bigger than the law, no matter your political position or social status. You must pass through this process unless you are not ready to be law abiding.After the wonder speech, FRSC Corps Marshal and Chief Executive, Osita Chidoka described the visit of Obasanjo to process his drivers license as a strong indicator that Nigeria has what it takes to be a country governed by law.
