Along Maryland bustop, Ikeja, Lagos was a ghastly accident on friday which involved a BRT with No 109 and a commuter bus (Danfo).
According to a source, the accident was caused by the commuter bus due to over-speeding.
A LASTMA official also said that the commercial bus was speeding, while it ran into a faulty BRT bus which was parked on the lane, and about to be towed away.
Meanwhile, Governor Rauf Aregbesola, who was on his way to Osogbo in Osun state and was on that path had to stop and ordered his security men with officials to help rescue victims of the accident. Oh! What a kind Governor.
The Governor personally led the accident victims to Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, where he pleaded with the medical attendants to immediately attend to them.
