The present president of Ghana Dr John Evans Atta Mills was declared dead today. This was made known by a statement made by the office of the presidency
"It is with a heavy heart...that we announce the sudden and untimely death of the president of the Republic of Ghana."
The 68-year-old president was to contest in the general election coming up in a few months time for a second term in office. The cause of his death is still yet
to be disclosed.
May God grant his loved ones the fortitude to bear this great and inevitable loss.
