Late fashion designer Oscar de la Renta reportedly left his adopted son with almost nothing in his $26 million will and warned that if he ever tried to contest the will he would be cut out completely, according to court documents.

Moises de la Renta, a designer in his father's label, was adopted by the couturier from an orphanage in the Dominican Republic following the death of his first wife, Françoise de Langlade in 1983. But reports claim him and his famous dad fell out 10 years ago.

According to Page Six, the pair fell out after Moises attempted to launch his own women's fashion line in 2005. His father, who is considered one of the most iconic designers of all time and dressed everyone from Jackey Kennedy Onassis to Amal Clooney, never forgave him for the move.

In 1989, the designer married Annette Engelhard and became a stepfather to her three children, Beatrice Phelps, Eliza Bolen and Charles Reed.

His son-in-law Alex Bolen operates as Chief Executive Officer, and step-daughter Eliza serves as Vice President of Licensing, at Oscar de la Renta, LLC.

He left the majority of his estate to his wife and court papers show his will was signed several weeks before his death.

De la Renta died on October 20 2014 at his Connecticut home at the age of 82, following a battle with cancer.
