The Federal Government has declared Tuesday and Wednesday, October 15 and 16 respectively, as public holidays to mark Eid-el-Kabir sallah celebration.
Minister of Interior, Abba Moro, made the declaration on behalf of the government, in a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary, Mrs Fatima Bamidele, in Abuja, on Thursday. He congratulated the Muslim faithful and enjoined them and all other Nigerians to join hands with President Goodluck Jonathan in his sustained efforts to raise Nigeria to the next level of development.
He further urged all Nigerians to use the occasion to pray for peace and unity across the nation.
