Donald Trump supports rapper's Kanye West 2020 presidential run

Donald Trump says he's ready to support Kanye West in 2020 when he ready to run for president. The current presidential hopeful tells Rolling Stone this week that he's totally in favor of the 'Yeezus' star running for president especially if it means they get to run against each other. The 38-year-old rapper announced his bid for the White House on Sunday, August 30 at the tail end of his 13-minute acceptance speech for the MTV's Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the 2015 VMAs.

Trump admitted to the mag that he watched Kanye! "I saw him do it, and I said, 'That's very interesting. I wonder who gave him that idea? He's actually a different kind of person than people think. He's a nice guy. I hope to run against him someday," the real estate mogul said of the outspoken musician. Trump and West have had their differences before — back in 2009, the Republican front-runner told TMZ he wanted to boycott the rapper because of his incident with Taylor Swift at that year's VMAs — but those days seem to be behind them now. "He said very nice things about me in the past. And he knows my daughter a little bit, Ivanka. And he said very good things about me. Very, very good things. Extremely positive things," the business magnate told Rolling Stone.

According to talk show host, Jimmy Kimmel the two [West and Trump] actually have a lot in common. Kimmel spliced together video clips of West's VMAs speech with other clips from Trump's time on the campaign trail, showing their many similarities.
