Mavin star Reekado Banks happy to have his own toilet

It's a classic rags to riches story for Mavin act Reekado Banks.
The fast rising singer who completed a building for his parents in June grew up without a silverspoon. Yesterday (August 18) the 'Katapot' singer revealed how as a child he prayed to have his own house with a clean toilet because his family didn't have one growing up.

"When I was younger, one of my prayers was that we moved into a house with a toilet so clean I would eat in it (Cos we used a pit latrine at the time). Now Im a proud owner of my own place. IM GRATEFUL TO GOD. IM GRATEFUL TO @donjazzy. IM GRATEFUL TO MY #REEKADDICTS. #21AndDoingIt #SMD" wrote the singer on his Instagram.
In April he recounted how he used to hawk blenders in traffic and work as a manual labourer at a construction site in a bid to earn some money to use to record music.

Reekado Banks has really started from the bottom to be where he is right now. It's good to see him succeeding. He is getting so successful now that fans are beginning to mob him.
He had his windscreen smashed by an angry mob at his almamater University of Lagos on August 11.
The 'Katapot' singer shared a picture of his windscreen after his performance at the famous higher institution. "CRAZY SHOW TONIGHT IN UNILAG... HAD SO MUCH FUN ON THAT STAGE, EVEN IF THEY BROKE MY WINDSCREEN, I BELIEVE ITS ALL LOVE. GOD BLESS YOU UNILAG. I FELT AT HOME" he wrote.
