The Akwa Ibom State choral gathering has broken the world record for the biggest number of Christmas tune vocalists on the planet.
The record, which has been formally guaranteed by the Guinness World Records and stuck on its site, www.guinessworldrecords.com, was broken by the solidarity choir, a 25,272 man-choral gathering, in a show in the Uyo Township Stadium on Saturday, December 13, 2014 with Guinness World Records delegates in participation.
The new record beats the previous one which recorded 15,674 hymn vocalists, in December, 2013 by a gathering known as CENTI in Bogota, Columbia.
