The initiation of President Goodluck Jonathan's Campaign Organization prior slated for Monday in Abuja has been deferred till Tuesday, a senior gathering authority said.
The Special Adviser to the President on Political Matters, Rufai Alkali, reported the deferment at Legacy House, the PDP Presidential Campaign office and venue of the introduction.
Antacid said that the initiation was put off after the passing of Presidential Jonathan's more youthful sister, Nancy Jonathan-Olei, on Sunday.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that parts of the association and visitors had effectively situated at the venue anticipating the president's landing before the publication.
“As you are all aware, His Excellency lost his sister, Nancy Jonathan-Olei, yesterday morning.
“In view of this, the president has decided to suspend this inauguration for today until tomorrow at 11 a.m.
“Mr President has asked me to convey his apologies for the inconveniences this postponement has caused and to tell you it was due to circumstances beyond our control,’’ Alkali said.
