Tragedy struck yesterday as not less than 19 people lost their lives in an autocrash along Owerri - Aba federal highway.
The motor accident involved a commuter bus heading to Aba from Owerri and a Nissan Xtera moving in opposite directions.
According to an eye witness, all 19 passengers including the bus driver and conductor loaded in the commuter bus died instantly. However, the Nissan driver survived.
Oh! There was a survivor; She was pregnant but had her legs chopped off due to the ghastly accident.
Witness revealed that the accident occurred due to both vehicles on top speed avoiding a pothole on the road.
