Nigeria’s Super Eagles emerged the 5th best team at the just concluded FIFA Confederations Cup in Brazil despite failing to progress to the semi-final of the competition.
According to a release by FIFA, moments after Sunday’s match between Brazil and Spain at the Estadio de Maracana, Rio de Janeiro, the African champions landed on the fifth position behind the likes of Brazil, Spain, Italy and Uruguay.
