Akinsoji Goyea is a 36-year old man who has been sentenced to 7 years imprisonment without an option for fine for abducting 11 months old baby.
He was said to have stolen the baby from Mr and Mrs Moshood Lawal at no 4, Ajegunle street, Mile 2 Area, Rounder, Abeokuta, Ogun state.
After an investigation carried out by the Police Force, it was revealed that Goyea kidnapped the baby through the window while the parents were in the living room. He carried the baby in his arms before he later put him in a sack where the baby suffocated and died.
Goyea admitted that the baby died on his way to Lagos to sell him off to a standby buyer but since the baby died, he gave him out to a ritualist who needed the blood of a baby for ritual.
He agreed with the ritualist to collect the sum of N300,000 which only N40,000 was given to him.
The court of law has sentenced Goyea to 7 years imprisonment with hard labour and no fine option.
