:-( Mr Sashua Edeghagba, a journalist who joined Radio Nigeria in Edo state last july was reportedly killed by gunmen via the influence of a sporadic firing.
Residents of the area where Sashua was killed said that he took his car out for repair in a mechanic shop and when he had finished. He was having fun with the mechanics there (Nigerian Things). Unknown to him, gunmen were busy operating in a nearby house where a policeman lived.
People in the neighbourhood came out trying to see if they could chase the hoodlums away but their efforts was replied by repeated shooting by the gunmen and one of the bullets hit this journalist and he died.
The deceased makes the 5th journalist to be killed in Edo state over the last two months.
