Yesterday, February 15, 2012. Members of Boko Haram sect raided/stormed Koton Karf Prison in Kogi State free inmates of the prison and killed a Warden.
The operation which lasted for 30 minutes begun with firing of weapons and detonating explosives right from motorcycles which they brought.
A warden was shot dead instantly at the gate and the gate was forced open by explosives which gave them way in to continue operation and finally freed prison inmates.
Reports say that Residents fled the area immediately they heard gunshots.
