WWE Hall Of Fame Champion Dies At 69

Virgil Runnels, popularly known as Dusty Rodes, the WWE hall of famer passed on yesterday at age 69. The cause of death of the former WWE superstar was still unreleased at the time of this post. An emergency call was received from his house in Florida early in the morning and was rushed to the hospital where he died.

Dusty Rhodes rose to fame in the in the 70s with the National Wrestling Association before he moved on to the World Wrestling Federation in the 80s before the company became the WWE. Rhodes was nicknamed “the American Dream” during his time with the WWE and made the high elbow famous before he retired. Dusty Rhodes spent some time with other promotional companies including The Independent Circuit and Total Nonstop Action

Dusty left a huge legacy in the WWE as his two sons Dustin (Goldust) and Cody (Stardust) Rhodes continue to wrestle in the WWE
