Dangote trucks were on Thursday March 26 set burning by irate crowd after one of the trucks lost control and pulverized to death one Vehicle Inspection Officer (VIO) on obligation and four others at Ilaro region of Yewa South Local Government, Ogun State.
The truck stacked with bond was purportedly to its destination of conveyance when the occurrence happened. A swarm activity uh uh in the blink of an eye took after as the truck and an alternate which came touched base at scene were situated on fire.
It was accounted for that Police who arrived the scene were practically lynched by the horde, as a police watch van was vandalized.
The Ogun State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, affirmed the story to Premium Times.
"Five persons were squashed. The horde set on fire the vehicle before our men could arrive at that point. The bodies have been kept in the clinic morgue," he said.
