Presidential Election Debate Date Now Confirmed.

The date for the presidential election between the officeholder President, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and the previous Head of State, Gen. Mohammed Buhari has been published by the Nigeria Elections Debate Group (NEDG).

The group disclosed that the February 14 presidential election will hold on February 8 just as the vice presidential debate will hold on February 1.

In a question and answer session yesterday in Abuja, director of the NEDG, Sola Omole said 13 out of the 14 possibility for the presidential and vice presidential open deliberations have affirmed their investment in the election.

The Nigerian Election Debate Group (NEDG), coordinators of the Presidential Debate Series, is an amalgamation of the Nigeria's Mass Media, Print and Electronic, the Newspaper Proprietors Association of Nigeria, NPAN, The Broadcasting Organization of Nigeria (BON), The Nigeria Bar Association, National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, market ladies and other common society bunches.

Omole noted that civil arguments are a real part of any majority rules system as the applicants will have the chance of collaborating with the Nigerian electorate and focused around that Nigerians will settle on educated choices going into the surveys.
