Scores of individuals were harmed while a few vehicles were vandalized when suspected criminals struck in Bode and Popoyemoja territories of Ibadan on Tuesday.
It was the third time such commotion would be unleashed on Ibadan occupants in the previous two months.
Observers said the crisp assault started as a minor contention on Sunday between two adversary bunches at a birthday party.
A source said, "There is a young person nicknamed Elewedu at Bode region. He began this crisp inconvenience. He headed different young men to assault us with destructive weapons while I was attempting to influence them not to get included in any battle.
"On Sunday evening, those young men assaulted us at Shoboye Street, Bode. We called the police and they reacted promptly yet the young men fled. They returned on Tuesday dead set to wreak more devastation. They came this time with weapons and began shooting into the air sporadically. Be that as it may for the reaction of the police, it would have been bleeding."
Our journalist watched that there was a substantial vicinity of policemen in the territory on Tuesday evening.
A checkpoint was additionally mounted to guarantee nobody approached the region with any weapon.
The Oyo State Police Public Relations Officer, Adekunle Ajisebutu, affirmed the occurrence, including that a few captures had been made.
