“This boy is my son; he is a confirmed member of Boko Haram and has killed many people, he too should be killed too.”
The statement above was made by a 60-year old kanuri man who lives in Maiduguri to the JTF sector office in the state.
The man's name? No, it has been witheld for some good reasons.
A close family source reported that the boy has threatened to kill his father once and then fled. He then returned home due to the fact that security has been beefed up on the Boko Haram sect.
He pleaded to his father as a prodigal son would do and then confessed how he's been involved in killings and robbing banks.
The man being a disciplinarian declined his request as he wouldn't accommodate a killer son in his home.
The man boldly handed over his son to the JTF and requested him to be killed.
The boy who tried to escape from the holds of the soldiers was shot and died later.
The man seeing his son's dead body laid on the ground said "Masha Allah" which in english is translated "To God be the Glory"
Even though the boy revealed the location of the two cars he bought and where he stashed millions of naira to his family, his father said it point blank that he's not interested in any of those.
What a disciplined man! Do you he's justified for his decision?
