Man arrested for stabbing love-rival to death



A man has reportedly stabbed his rival to death in Lagos after he caught him with his lover making love.

The 27-year old man, David Omoregbe, was arrested by the police in Lagos State, Southwest Nigeria, after he allegedly stabbed and killed his rival, Kehinde Owasoye, 25, for snatching his 22-year old lover, Bolodeoku Temisan.

Man caught with nephew's private part in his wallet



A man in South Africa has been arrested after he was found to be carrying genitals in his wallet - thought to be those of his missing nephew.

A police spokesperson told the BBC that after his arrest, the man took officers to a forest in Eastern Cape province where a mutilated body was found.

The teenager's head, arms and legs had been chopped off and were found not far from his torso, he said.

Fire guts wood market in Onitsha and destroys 100m worth of goods



Mr Obidigbo Okorie, Chairman, Carpentry and Wood Design Market, Bridge-Head Markets, Onitsha, has urged the Anambra government to investigate the fire that gutted a major part of the market on Thursday.

Okorie said after the fire was put out by firefighters and members of the public that the artisans lost shops, wood and machinery worth more than N100 million.

The fire started at about 4.30 a.m. and lasted till 11 a.m.

JAMB educates candidates on Computer-Based Tests





The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), on Thursday in Kaduna said only 15 per cent of candidates sitting for its examinations in 2013 would use the Computer Based Test.

Its Registrar, Prof. Dibu Ojerinde stated this in Kaduna during a campaign to promote the newly introduced method of examination.

The campaign was conducted at the State Ministry for Education, Kaduna State University, Kaduna Polytechnic, National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) and the National Teachers’ Institute.
