FG agrees to return fuel price to N65 under conditions

Follow @NaijaTalkative

It appears that the current Nationwide Strike might end well for Labour and Nigerians.
After the meeting that commenced yesterday with the Federal Government and Labour, the Federal Government agreed to revert the price of petrol back to N65 temporarily.
The meeting was inclusive of the Mr President, Senate house, house of Labour which was organised by labour. It turned out that labour was given two options for reversing the action on removal of fuel subsidy.
The options given to labour to decide on are:
  1. First Option is that the Govt would Revert to the pre-New Year price on the condition that the subsidy regime would be completely removed in April.
  2. To allow the N65 selling price of petrol and withdraw 80% of the subsidy in March, meaning that petrol would sell for N120 if the current price regime remains in force.

According to labour, there's no agreement yet!
Although compromise was made but the strike continues- Labour.
Therefore, another meeting will commence on Saturday 14th of January, 2012 by which a decision would be made.

Happy Strike Regime! Lol.
